Vanamo baby wraps are organic and ethically made in Finland from pure natural materials. Due to their special weaving technique, Vanamo wraps are soft, malleable and strong. You can comfortably carry the baby from birth to toddlerhood. Woven wrap breathes and is cool.
Read the user manual carefully before you start using the carrier. You can also watch some video tutorials on Youtube.
The cotton-linen-wool blend combines all the good qualities of linen and wool. Linen provides strength and good support - wool makes the wrap soft & fluffy. Vanamo wrap is diagonally elastic and malleable. The special weaving provides optimal support for both the child and the parent. Linen and wool are breathable and heat-regulating materials. This wrap works great in hot and humid climates. And it feels just as comforting on chilly autumn and winter days. Vanamo tri-blends are great wraps for heavy babies and toddlers. A new wrap may feel a bit stiff at first but the fabric will soften up quite quickly once you start using it. Wash and iron with a lot of steam and the wrap will fluff up considerably.
The Vanamo Kide fabric is a complex blend of twill and tabby weave that creates the unique structured, porous and comfortable baby wrap. The rich crystal pattern is inspired by the old handwoven Finnish linen textiles. After the first wash, the fabric will fluff up and the unique structure will emerge.
Here's how to care for your Vanamo wrap : Machine wash in cold water (30 Celcius) with wool program or delicate program, hang dry, iron on low heat. Iron while still slightly damp or use steam. NO tumble drying!
We recommend that you wash the baby wrap before you start using it. The wrap becomes softer and easier to tie after washing and ironing, and the fabric gets its optimal structure and density. Each baby wrap has a little extra length to shrink.
