The cotton-hemp-wool blend combines all the good properties of hemp and wool. Hemp fibers provide strength and good support - wool makes the wrap soft & fluffy. Vanamo wrap is diagonally elastic and malleable. The special weaving provides optimal support for both the child and the parent. Hemp and wool are breathable and heat-regulating materials. This wrap works great in hot and humid climates. And it feels just as comforting on chilly autumn and winter days. Vanamo tri-blends are good wraps for heavy babies and toddlers. Vanamo hemp tri-blends are slightly stronger than the linen tri-blends. A new wrap may feel stiff at first but the fabric will soften gradually as you start using it. Wash and iron with a lot of steam and it fluffs up considerably.
Here's how to take care of your Vanamo wrap :
Machine wash in cold water (30 Celsius) with wool program or delicate program, hang dry, iron on low heat. Iron while still slightly damp or use steam. NO tumble drying!
We recommend that you wash the baby wrap before you start using it. The wrap becomes softer and easier to tie after washing and ironing, and the fabric gets its optimal structure and tightness. Each baby wrap has a little extra length to shrink.
