Merino wool is a good material for baby wraps. Wool breathes and is heat regulating. Wool keeps the skin dry and warm while absorbing the moisture from the skin. Kid fabric is diagonally elastic, which means that the sling provides optimal support for the child and feels comfortable for both the wearer and the child. This wrap works great in hot and humid climates. And it feels just as comforting on chilly autumn and winter days. Medium thick wrap is good for both babies and toddlers.

The Vanamo Kide fabric is a complex blend of twill and tabby weave that creates the unique structured, porous and comfortable baby wrap. The rich crystal pattern is inspired by the old handwoven Finnish linen textiles. After the first wash, the fabric will fluff up and the unique structure will emerge.

Here's how to care for your Vanamo wrap :

Machine wash in cold water (30 Celsius) with wool program or delicate program, hang dry, iron on low heat. Iron while still slightly damp or use steam. NO tumble drying!

We recommend that you wash the baby shawl before you start using it. The shawl becomes softer and easier to tie after the first wash and ironing, and the fabric gets its optimal structure and density. Each baby wrap has a little extra length to shrink.
