Vanamo baby wraps are organic and ethically made in Finland from pure natural materials. Due to our special weaving technique, Vanamo's shawls are soft, malleable and strong. You can comfortably carry the baby from birth to toddlerhood. Woven shawl is also breathable and cool.
Read the user manual carefully before you start using the carrier. You can also watch some video tutorials on Youtube.
The combination of silk, merino wool and organic cotton makes the wrap light, airy and soft. Kid fabric is diagonally elastic, which means that the sling provides optimal support for the child and feels comfortable for both the wearer and the baby. This fairly thin shawl is great for babies of all ages.
Bourette silk is a very lively and irregular yarn and it contains lots of little lumps and nubs, and it may even contain a small amount of hay-like organic matter. Bourette silk makes the fabric very structured and gives the cover a good grip.
The Vanamo Kide fabric is a complex blend of twill and tabby weave that creates the unique structured, porous and comfortable baby wrap. The rich crystal pattern is inspired by the old handwoven Finnish linen textiles. After the first wash, the fabric will fluff up and the unique structure will emerge.
Here's how to take care of your Vanamo wrap :
Hand wash in cold water (30 degrees), hang or tumble dry, iron on low heat. Using steam, iron the wrap while it is still slightly damp. NO tumble drying!
We recommend that you wash the baby wrap before you start using it. The wrap becomes softer and easier to tie after washing and ironing, and the fabric gets its optimal structure and density. Each baby wrap has a little extra length to shrink.
